Portuguese grill · Chiado, Lisbon
Fire makes
the time.
Dry-aged beef, the day’s catch and garden vegetables — all over holm-oak charcoal, at a twelve-seat counter in a room that smells of woodsmoke.
The house
We opened in 2023 in a former charcoal warehouse in Chiado. The grill is the heart of everything: Alentejo holm-oak charcoal, fire lit at three in the afternoon, service until the last ember dies. No microwave, no shortcuts — just fire, salt and time.
