ROUTE · 02
The process, from day one to your licence
It is a road with stages, not a race. You set the pace — on average, coming 2–3 times a week gets you through category B in 3 to 5 months.
Enrolment
Bring your ID card and a medical certificate (we help you sort it). You are registered with the IMT that same day.
Theory lessons
Evening classroom sessions plus an online test platform to practise at home, on your phone.
Theory exam
We schedule it once your mock-exam results are consistent — not before.
Driving lessons
Always with the same instructor. You start on the quiet streets of Monte Abraão and finish on the IC19.
Practical exam
We drive the actual exam route with you in the final lessons, in the same car you will be tested in.
Licence in hand
The IMT posts the licence to your home. We wish you good roads.

Frequently asked questions
It depends on your pace. Students taking 2–3 lessons a week finish category B in 3 to 5 months. If you can only come on Saturdays, allow more time — and that is perfectly fine.
