Colo — maternity, newborn and family photography

A family photography studio's site with a tape measure for a calendar: it takes the due date and marks when to book the bump and the newborn sessions. Five session pages with what each includes, how to prepare and the questions, a wardrobe of maternity gowns, the places it shoots, a portfolio with filters and a lightbox, and a four-step booking that becomes a WhatsApp or e-mail message.

Privacy policy
The website template writes the booking request as a ready message, with the session, the due date and its windows or the month, the place and the name, to send by WhatsApp or e-mail; it stores nothing. With the custom backend, we build an admin for it after your purchase, to edit the sessions, prices, galleries and texts and receive the booking requests; with payments and online store, sessions can take a deposit online, or the site sells prints and gift vouchers.

In detail: Website template

Demo design and interactions

The demo uses sample data. In the template, bookings, payments and accounts are simulations. The other options describe what really works in them.

  • Website template (€29): bilingual website where the booking prepares the request as a message for WhatsApp or e-mail; no saved requests.
  • Website + custom backend (€70): the template and, after your purchase, an admin area we build for you to edit sessions, prices, galleries and texts and receive the booking requests; delivered in about 10 business days after we receive your content; hosting and domain not included.
  • Website + online payments and store (€180): the same, with online payments (Stripe or MB WAY), for example a session deposit, or a small online store for prints and gift vouchers; the payment provider account and fees are yours.
  • A calendar shaped like a tape measure: given the due date, it shows the right weeks for the bump session and the right days for the newborn one.
  • Five session pages (maternity, newborn, family, personal branding, couples) with what each includes, how to prepare, a gallery and questions.
  • A wardrobe of maternity gowns on a rail, and the places the studio shoots.
  • A portfolio filtered by session, with a lightbox that works with keyboard and swipe.
  • Pictures made for this template (3D still lifes, no people), free of rights.

Build log

  1. Art direction — a painted cocoa backdrop and a grey paper sweep, one velvet red, Cormorant Garamond and Jost, the tape measure as the signature
  2. The opening with the gown, the sessions list with its floating preview, and the calendar that marks the two windows
  3. Five session pages, the wardrobe on its rail, the places, the studio and the portfolio with filters and a lightbox
  4. The four-step booking that writes the message, with the due date's windows or the preferred month
  5. Still lifes rendered for the template (no people), Portuguese and English, phone layout and accessibility pass
